Springfield College invites applications for a Systems Administrator for the Department of of Information and Technology Services. The ideal candidate will be tasked with effective and efficient provisioning, installation, configuration, optimization, of network system operations and hardware/software systems maintenance in support of the assets which comprise the college wide-area network. This includes, but is not limited to, systems proactive monitoring, virtual server installation/maintenance in a VM environment, configuration and support of Active Directory, wide-area network routing, wireless network configuration/maintenance, disk storage management, systems integrity verification, disaster preparedness, systems OS maintenance/upgrades, systems performance monitoring/optimization, and research of evolving technology trends to advance network performance and security.
The ideal candidate must hold a four year degree in a technology related discipline from a recognized accredited organization and must be able to perform physical activities supporting up to 25 pounds. Prior systems administration experience and/or professional network certification is a plus.
