Assistant Professor of Biology

Position Description:

Springfield College invites applications for a tenure track position in Microbiology. The College seeks a broadly trained microbiologist who can teach introductory level biology, upper division courses in microbiology, virology and immunology, medical microbiology and biochemistry (4 courses per semester). Responsibilities include student advising/mentoring and service to and beyond the college. Preference will be given to candidates who are excellent and innovative teachers and who will engage undergraduate students in research. An active research agenda (or promise of) also required.

Position Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a doctorate in biology or biochemistry from a regionally accredited institution. ABD’s with a summer completion date will be considered.
